BURNHAM PRAISES BRANAS SCHOOL REPORT1.00.00pm GMT Wed 12th Nov 2008
Eleanor Burnham AM, Welsh Liberal Democrat member for North Wales, has praised the Branas School in Llandrillo on achieving an outstanding HMI inspection report. The school, which provides education for boys aged 11-16, was visited by Ms Burnham Welsh Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Children and Young People in the Assembly this week to celebrate their success. Ms Burnham said: "The Branas School has every right to be proud and thrilled with this HMI report and the fantastic achievements of all the staff and pupils. "As someone who has experience of teaching young people like those at Branas I know such an excellent report is a consequence of the hard work and commitment of all the staff and those connected with the school." Headteacher Geoff Corfield added: "Achieving such an outstanding report in all areas is quite remarkable and almost unique and everyone is naturally thrilled and delighted. "Branas offers excellent provision in all respects and the report now gives a green light for future development plans to further enhance the quality of service on offer for pupils with additional needs."
