Eleanor Burnham, Welsh Liberal Democrat spokesperson for Children and Young People, will urge the Assembly Government during Plenary tomorrow to condemn the issue of unsolicited debit cards to children without parental consent after the shocking news that some high street banks allow children as young as 11 to have debit cards without the knowledge of their parents.

Eleanor Burnham, Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for North Wales, urged the Assembly Government to do everything possible to avoid even more job losses in North Wales. Last Friday, it was announced that 150 workers in Flintshire feared for their employment at a pizza factory in Deeside after the company, Paramount Foods, risked losing a contract with a retailer.

Speaking ahead of her debate today on transport systems in North Wales, Eleanor Burnham, Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member for North Wales, highlighted businesses' calls that the A55 is not fit for purpose, costing thousands in revenue for local industries. Ms Burnham will challenge the Assembly Government on its lack of initiative when tackling the longstanding problems of travelling across North Wales in her short debate this afternoon.
