North Wales AM congratulates Wrexham school boy winner of Refugee Week Wales art competition

Eleanor with Connor Baines of St Christopher's School, WrexhamEleanor Burnham, Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member was pleased to meet prize winners of the Refugee Week Wales Art Competition at the Assembly last week including Connor Baines from St Christopher School in Wrexham who was runner up in the age 12-16 category.

Eleanor said " It was a pleasure to meet Connor and his mother in the Assembly and to see his fantastic competition entry. Connor was a well deserved winner in this wonderful competition which is a great opportunity to celebrate the contribution of refugees to the UK and to encourage greater understanding between communities."

During Refugee Week many events were organised across Wales and the Refugee Week Wales Art Competition invited young people across Wales to design an image which represents refugee issues and reflects the ways that people and communities can come together positively.
