North Wales Lib Dem council leader voted best councillor of the year.

Eleanor Burnham, North Wales Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Member, today congratulated Aled Roberts, leader of Wrexham Council, on winning Local Politician of the Year at the ITV Wales Politician of the Year Awards. Liberal Democrat Councillor Rodney Berman was honoured last year for his work as Leader of Cardiff Council.
Ms Burham: "I am delighted that Aled received the recognition he so deserves. Aled has worked very hard in is position as leader of Wrexham Council. His work on green issues, safer communities and his effective leadership of Wrexham Council is to be admired.
"As a North Wales regional AM, it's interesting to note the differences between the Local authorities and it's a pleasure to work with him as he continues to steer Wrexham through another difficult year of reduced funding from the Labour/Plaid Welsh Assembly Government."
